Home and Compare are credit-based: you buy a fixed number of report credits, usable anytime within the plan's validity window (a daily cap just stops one busy day from burning the whole pool). Practitioner and Studio are a high daily cap for 30 days instead, sized for regular ongoing use. When you're out of credits or hit your daily cap, the tool pauses until the next day, the next validity window, or an upgrade.
New accounts are reviewed before activation. You'll get an email when yours is active — usually quickly.

Paid plans run for a fixed period and do not auto-renew, so nothing is charged again unless you buy another period. Buying while a plan is still running adds to the time you have left.
